Seasoned Rider

The module consists of a new award-winning 13-minute DVD video, and props for learning activities, all designed to help riders assess and compensate for the effects of aging on their ability to effectively manage risk when operating a motorcycle. A Seasoned Rider Module session can last from 45 to 90 minutes. Although the content and activities are generally targeted at riders over the age of 40, the sessions are appropriate for any age and any type of vehicle operator.

Group Riding

Cost: $40.00

This classroom based course will take you through information you need to know to put safety first whenever participating in a group riding event, whether you are riding with a few friends or as part of an organized event. There’s a lot to know when it comes to riding in a group. Everything from where to place your bike on the road way to how to communicate with the rest of the group while riding takes on a larger significance. This is because you’re not just responsible for your own safety and enjoyment: you share the responsibility for ensuring all members of your group have a safe and enjoyable ride.

This is not a lecture, the information is shared in open discussion, using visual training aids and practical activities. The session can last from 45 to 90 minutes.

Almost 50% of riders killed have been drinking. One third of these riders has a Blood Alcohol Concentration (BAC) above the legal limit. The remaining two thirds had only couple of drinks in their system, not enough to be legally intoxicated but more than enough to impair their mental and physical skills.

This module uses a training aid and open discussion to explore the effects of alcohol, define the legal consequences of DUI and a practical demonstration of the effect being intoxicated can have on your ability to control your actions using “fatal vision” goggles to simulate intoxication. Open to all vehicle users of all ages. The session can last from 45 to 90 minutes.
